Supporting Refugee Children in Schools

This training will be run by Refugee Education UK (REUK) exists to enable refugee and asylum seeking children and young people to build more hopeful futures through education. They support these young people to access, remain and progress in education through three core programmes: educational mentoring, educational wellbeing and educational progression.

In this session, we will explore:

• an overview of the education system in Ukraine
• cultural considerations in regards to education
• challenges and barriers to accessing and thriving at school
• navigating key transition points
• EAL support in schools
