Supporting Refugee Students in Further Education- Part 1

This training will be run by Refugee Education UK (REUK) exists to enable refugee and asylum seeking children and young people to build more hopeful futures through education. They support these young people to access, remain and progress in education through three core programmes: educational mentoring, educational wellbeing and educational progression.

In this session, we will explore:

• an overview of education system in the UK
• levels of education at FE (Pre-entry to L3)
• categories for funding entitlements at FE
• how to support with enrolment
• barriers that may arise when accessing FE
• where to get help and further support
